Black Eyed Susans is a beach casual restaurant & Tavern in Harvey Cedars opened by chef partners Ashley Pellagrino & Christopher Sanchez.

You may recognize a few familiar dishes from the past, but our new “tavern-style” concept is a casual dining concept with a rotating menu of artisan pizzas, house-made pastas, fresh seafood, salads and shareable items. Our food is both highly creative and very approachable. We create menus based on seasonally available ingredients, much of which are sourced from local farms, distributors, and fishermen. We believe that the best food is grown locally and with respect for the environment, so we've spent the past 14 years building relationships with farmers and fishermen who fit the bill! We use many organic ingredients, sustainably caught fish and seafood, and pasture raised meats.

Our wines are thoughtfully chosen to provide customers with incredible values. We have a certified level II sommelier on staff who strives to present our guests with unique and delicious wines that accompany our cuisine. Our cocktails are simple and well-executed, utilizing fresh ingredients and thoughtfully selected spirits in order to create delicious drinks to be enjoyed on their own or with our food.

INDOOR DINING

Prior to arriving we encourage guests to view our menus online. The Tavern accepts reservations for indoor dining with limited space for walk-ins. Reservations open at 9am, 14 days in advance through the reservation link at the top of the page and on the Resy app.

We limit check splitting to no more than two credit cards per table. We apologize for any inconvenience. There will also be a 2.99% fee added on to the total of the check when paying with a debit or credit card.

Small children must have an adult present with them at their tables. We are not able to accommodate strollers in the indoor dining room.

We regrettably do not take multi-table reservations and cannot honor specific table requests upon your arrival. We will do our best to accommodate requests, but it cannot be guaranteed.

Please note, if you cancel or reduce party size after 12:00PM the day of your reservation, a non-refundable $10 per person fee will be applied to your credit card. 100% of the proceeds from our cancellation policy are donated to the David’s Dream and Believe Cancer Foundation
